Our Team – Eastwards Consortium
This page showcases the leader and facilitator of the Eastwards Consortium project. We are passionate about children’s learning, and hope that our Toolkits and intervention methods can have a positive, long-lasting impact on all of our schools and children that we support.
Hanif Ur-Rehman
Project Leader – Developing Local Provision Project
Ensuring that every child receives the best education possible has been my goal since I began teaching twelve years ago.
As I have grown up in inner city Birmingham, I know how important it is to work hard and have a good education. I have worked in inner city schools and have had various roles. These have included being a year group leader, English leader, and a member of the senior leadership team.
From September 2021, I have been the Early Language Development Project Leader for the Eastwards Consortium of schools. The Eastwards Consortium is a consortium of 27 schools located in the East of Birmingham. My role is to support staff to ensure the development and progress of children, both through regular school attendance and in achieving in Core subjects.
Susanne Humpage
Project Facilitator – Developing Local Provision Project
I was a teacher for 25 years and worked in all Primary year groups, from Nursery to Year 6. I have also led the subjects of Geography and Science, but my passion is for Computing. I was Computing Leader for over 15 years as well as Year Group Leader before moving to the role of DLP Facilitator.
I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of developing and fulfilling the first phase of the DLP Project. It was empowering to work with so many dedicated staff and enthusiastic children across our Consortium to improve the outcomes of all our children.
I am very excited about the next Phase of the project, which will involve working with more stakeholders from across the schools in Eastwards Consortium, as well as continuing to engage and support our parents and children. I am passionate about the aim that all children in our Consortium become the best version of themselves and achieve the highest standards possible.
